Girl We Love: Lit Tabernero-Gubat

What do you do when you're not traveling?

I am an HR practitioner by trade and spend most of my time in the office. When I'm not exploring new places, I'm usually at any of my go-to surf spots with my husband, or planning out my next weekend escape.

What are your travel must-haves?

My trusty camera, sunblock, moisturizer, sunglasses and of course bikinis… lots of bikinis!

What do you like most about Wink?

I like how pleasant and accommodating the staff are. Everything is well taken care of.

How does Wink help you with your travels?

I have never freely enjoyed the great outdoors so much until Wink. Now I can wear all my bikinis and go on sand and surf trips without any unnecessary ”pre-flight checks,” just grab-and-go. Adventure-ready, indeed!

Best trip you've ever been on?

These would definitely be my trip to Dahican, Mati, Davao Oriental, and that 2-week vacation in Bali. It was pure bliss!

Do you have a travel bucket list? If yes, what countries/places are on it?

Maldives, Sri Lanka, and Morrocco.

But of course, I would also love to explore more of the Philippines. Our country is gifted with endless lovely beaches and natural wonders, and oh, lots of (hidden and known) surf spots too, so there is so much more to see and enjoy.

What do you love about traveling?

I travel not just to give myself a breather but to keep rekindling my sense of adventure, wonder, and freedom.

What has been one of your favorite dishes you've eaten while traveling?

There’s a lot, but jagung bakar pedas manis (Balinese Spicy Roast Corn) would be a favorite!

If you can be anywhere right now, where would you be and why?

I would be in Canggu surfing all day with my husband.  Because bikinis, and waves, and roast corn!

What's your go-to traveling hack/tip?

Slow down, there’s no deadline except the ones you make. Don’t be afraid to try new things. Most of all, respect the locals, the elements, and the environment.
