TELL US A LITTLE SOMETHING ABOUT YOURSELF

I’m Ana and I’m currently working at Shiseido Philippines as a Brand Intern! I’m passionate about mental health, skincare (wear your SPF – yes, even at home!), and fashion. I also love dogs, the sun, and good wine.

DESCRIBE TO US YOUR IDEA OF A PERFECT WEEKEND

I’m a firm believer in balance and self-care! My ideal weekend involves taking the time to listen to what my body needs and allowing myself to recover from a busy work week, which normally includes catching up on TV shows, eating soul food, and having a glass of wine (or two 😉).

TAKE US ON YOUR TYPICAL WEEKEND. HOW DO YOU START YOUR SATURDAYS AND HOW DO YOU END YOUR SUNDAYS?

I start my Saturdays at around 8AM with my morning routine, which involves stretching, having a cup of coffee, practicing gratitude, and setting my intentions for the day. This is followed by a HIIT workout and a hearty breakfast. I try to spend my afternoons learning something new by listening to podcasts or reading books, though most of the time, I end up researching about the Filipino brands as I love being able to support locals. Pre-quarantine, I would spend my evenings with my friends, but now Saturday evenings are spent cozy in bed with my dog Koa, a good movie, and a glass of wine.

Sundays are my slow days – I always start the day a bit later and let myself stay in bed for a little longer. After my morning routine, I take the time to fill out my bullet journal to ensure that I stay organized and productive for the week ahead. In the afternoons, I tend to do a low-intensity workout like Pilates or yoga. I always end my Sundays with a clay mask and a body scrub.

ANY INDOOR AND/OR OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES THAT YOU ENJOY MOST DURING YOUR OFF DAYS?

Ever since quarantine started in the Philippines, I’ve made it a priority to take care of my body through movement – whether it’s through a workout or learning a new TikTok dance (my biggest quarantine guilty pleasure). I’ve also recently discovered my creative side in creating content for my social media pages and learning more about styling outfits.

Because of quarantine, I don’t get to do many outdoor activities but when I can, I go for a walk with Koa to get some fresh air and Vitamin D.

WHERE’S YOUR SECRET/UNDERRATED HANGOUT WEEKEND SPOT THAT YOU MISS VISITING?

I definitely wish I could revisit some dive spots in Anilao, Batangas but mostly, I miss being to be able to travel around the Philippines and exploring islands I’ve never been to.
