TELL US A LITTLE SOMETHING ABOUT YOURSELF.
Hi, I'm Ima, and I believe that life is not a thing, it is an experience. In everything I do in life, I try to bring as much value as I can to my workplace and the people I meet. And for me to give value, I try to experience as many things as I can, explore places and communities in the Philippines and create meaningful conversations and relationships with others.
Going on hikes and beaches are my personal favorite things to do - it's my way of getting back in touch with myself after a long busy week at work.
TAKE US TO YOUR FAVORITE PLACE.
Destination: Davao City, my hometown, will always be my favorite place.🇵🇭
Where to go:
There are a lot of places to see in Davao, whether it's cafes, restos, beaches, or mountain resorts, we have it all for you! You have a lot of options you can choose from. But if you're adventurous like me, I'll take you to places you've never been to!
Favorite Falls: Khilakobah Falls at Sitio NamNam, Marilog District. You can also try Matigol Falls, Arakan North Cotabato. The view will amaze you. Never thought Davao had those - literally a hidden gem!
Favorite Hike Spot: Vipers Peak + 3 Falls at Toril, Davao City. I've been to this place 10 times already, and I can assure you that every person I've invited to this area has always been in awe of this place. It's beginner friendly and very near to the city
Beaches are also very accessible since Samal is just 15 minutes away from the port of Davao City. You can go chilling at a Paradise or Chemas, go free diving on open seas or book a reservation at Hayahay Resort!
What to do:
Aside from the hike and beach, it would be good for you to explore the cultural side of Davao. Mindanao is known to be the area for a lot of Indigenous tribes, one of which is the Lumads. You can find the Tribal House at Magsaysay Park or visit Museo Dabawenyo!
Where to eat:
I'm a fan of Ramen, so here is my list to help you choose the best Ramen in town: LifeCycle, Taberu Ramen, Taichou Izakaya. If you love Cafes: here are my top 3 - Purge/LifeCycle, Olo, and Glass House
Where to stay:
When my friends go to Davao, they usually stay at my place. I always believe you best learn and enjoy the area when you're with the locals! But if you're new and you don't know anyone from Davao, I'd recommend staying at Seda Hotel or you can just book budget-friendly accommodations via Airbnb!
Must-have adventure staple:
Water bottle to hydrate yourself, a camera to take photos and memories, and of course, Laser Whitening before an adventure!
ON THE HORIZON
You need some rest and relaxation, where would you go next:
Can't wait to finally climb Mt. Apo - the highest mountain in the country - this month! I've been meaning to climb Mt. Apo since I started hiking last year and finally after months of hiking, I'm confident to climb and reach the highest peak!
