TELL US A LITTLE SOMETHING ABOUT YOURSELF.
This question seems simple but is always such a hard one for me haha! Iโm Mariana, I love food, fashion, sports, art, and traveling. I am lucky enough to be working for a brand that combines my love for sports and fashion. I also have a small business my friends and I created back in college called Tenement.๐โ๏ธ๐ซ
TAKE US TO YOUR FAVORITE PLACE.
Destination: El Nido, Palawan๐ต๐ญ
Where to go:
No brainer, definitely go island hopping! My fave was Shimizu Island, it was one of the smaller ones but we had a little โkamayanโ moment for lunch and the vibes were just there lol! Apart from island hopping, Kalye Artisano is a cute artist village in the Lio Tourism Estate, there were a unique gift and art shops to go to, food and drinks were available as well, and I know they hold different workshops and events in the space.
What to do:
We went kayaking during our island hopping, it was very tiring but it was a fun bonding experienceโฆ especially with your kayak partner lol the struggle was real and it was amazing seeing the Big Lagoon in person. We seem to always be doing the most so we went hiking, and it was nice to learn about the different flora and fauna in the area (thanks to our tour guide) and the view was well worth it!๐๐๐ฅ
Where to eat:
There are many different restaurants in Shops@Lio in Lio Beach but my fave would be Punta Playa, a modern fusion of Mediterranean and Asian cuisine. My friends and I liked their tapas and drinks We were not able to try El Nido Grill but heard lots of good reviews, and they have a live band so that should be fun! I will definitely visit when I go back. Did I mention all these places are right by the beach, say less!
Where to stay:
We stayed in Seda Lio last December and since it is still the pandemic, they had safety measures in place and were very accommodating and easy to talk to. The amenities and food were pretty good. I loved how they treated every dinner time like a party by setting up the place and having a live band (again with the live bands haha). There are so many things to do from chilling by the pool or bar to hiking, biking, or visiting the different shops in Lio Tourism Estate but if you get bored of that, itโs a 5 min walk to Shops@Lio!!!!
Must-have adventure staple:
sunscreen, film camera, phone, speakers, water jug, sunglasses, and Winkโs Underarm Laser Hair Removalโจ
