Girl We Love: Angel Peralta
Tell us about yourself.
I'm currently working as a Product/Merchandise Assistant Manager for a clothing brand in Rustan's. I graduated last June from the Clothing Technology program in UP Diliman. I've always been passionate about clothing, and this is where I am now, where I've always wanted to be. I'm the type of person who works hard for the things that she wants. I never settle for mediocrity. I'm an independent woman, I was born and raised in Ilocos Norte but moved to Manila when I started college. I've been living on my own for 6 years now. I'm very tenacious and focused, and I make sure that I push myself to my limits. I'm very outgoing, adventurous and I love learning and trying new things. For the past year, I've been going places... so far I've conquered 14 mountains, been to such wonderful beaches, I've been learning how to surf, been jumping off falls and cliffs, and I've been doing yoga. I also have my "sorta introvert" side when I'm just at home reading a book, binge watching tv series or playing some online game. I'm a dog lover and a proud fur mommy of my baby, Thunder. My number 1 rule is to make the most out of life, because you never know when or where it ends.
What emoji best describes you?
😜 because I may look "mahinhin" but I'm 100% loud and crazy. LOL
What are your travel must-haves?
I always bring a sarong when I travel because it can be used for so many things: towel, blanket or for sun protection while hiking. And of course, I can't travel without my sunglasses.
What do you like most about Wink?
What I like most about Wink is the quality of service that they offer. For a short span of time, I'd say their services are really effective. They make sure that the price you pay is worth it. I also love the fact that their employees are very welcoming and they make sure that they attend to all your needs. They would even text me to remind me about my appointments and some dos and don'ts after every session. Another thing I love about Wink is that they empower women by helping them be confident in their own skin.
How does Wink help you with your travels?
I've always been so insecure about my face because I used to have a lot of acne marks and travelling meant going bare-face most of the time, especially when you hike or go to the beach because you don't really put make-up on. But because of Wink, my acne marks are slowly fading and I'm more confident to go bare-face without worrying.
Top 3 favorite places you've been.
I don't really have a favorite because every place I go to is a different kind of experience.
If you can be anywhere right now, where would you be and why?
Anywhere where I can surf. I already know how to surf on my own but I'm still in the process of learning how to catch the perfect wave and eventually learn some tricks. I've always had this dream to own a surfboard and a pickup truck and drive to the beach every weekend. I hope it turns into reality one day.
Best travel advice you've ever received?
Be one with the locals. Everytime I travel, I make sure that I get to live like the locals. I actually prefer sleeping on tents, transient homes or basically anywhere where I'd get a closer look of a places' everyday scenario rather than staying in a luxurious hotel. I strongly believe that traveling should also mean getting to know the people, their everyday lives and their culture.
