Girl We Love: Tabitha Fernan
What do you do when you're not traveling?
I run a Website Content and Social Media management business with my husband, which I can do pretty much anywhere and I love it! I also create Passion and Yoga retreats with a friend. It's called "Infinite You", and it caters to those who need that escape from the noise of the city.
What are your travel must-haves?
Coconut oil and aloe vera (yes, I bring fresh leaves with me) which are perfect for pretty much everything - dry skin, sunburns, and cuts. My trusty camera - I always regret when I DON'T bring with me, so I've decided that it's an essential in all my trips. All-around swimwear - something I can wear to lounge, surf, and do yoga in.
What do you like most about Wink?
I love what Wink stands for, and the market that they cater to. I also really appreciate their effortless and excellent customer service.
How does Wink help you with your travels?
Wink makes me look fresh! Their facials repair my sun-kissed skin and help clear my acne marks. Who needs makeup when you've got Wink?
Best trip you've ever been on?
Exploring Negros Oriental and Occidental. You get the full experience when you go around those regions. I remember exploring Negros Oriental, jumping to different cities, eating delicious food, checking out nearby beaches and falls, and then making our way to Negros Occidental (in Dumaguete and Apo Island) to experience a quieter island life with amazing marine sanctuaries. We could live there forever!
Do you have a travel bucket list? If yes, what countries/places are on it?
I want to do a long trip with husband, exploring the Philippines from Luzon-Visayas-Mindanao. Starting from the northern region and making our way to the south - climbing mountains, checking out surf spots, exploring rainforests, eating local food, and learning new cultures.
The Philippines has so much to offer and I want to see all of it in this lifetime!
What do you love about traveling?
I love the little beautiful surprises and inconveniences along the way. Nothing is certain, and it tests your character. It also makes bonds stronger and makes you reflect on the more important things in life.
What has been one of your favorite dishes you've eaten while traveling?
Oh my gosh, I remember staying in Pandanan, a small town in Sagay City. They have the freshest seafood I've ever had! We woke up to a breakfast feast of freshly caught oysters, clams, lobsters, and fish. It was pretty intense. That was one meal I won't forget.
If you can be anywhere right now, where would you be and why?
Siargao or Baler. I've been itching to get on my board and surf!
What's your go-to traveling hack/tip?
"Invest" in an all-around pair of rubber slippers. They don't even have to be expensive! My slippers have gone through surf trips, treks, rivers, and boulders - and they're still alive. That's all you'll need to wear ;)
