How To Make Everyday A Great Adventure With Lou And Dawn Dychangco
An adventure involves challenging ourselves or trying out something new in life regardless if we’re outside or in the safety of our own home.
Here are a few things we can learn on how to make every day a great adventure featuring the fitness enthusiasts and sea-loving Cebuana sisters, Lou and Dawn. 😉
IF YOU COULD TRAVEL ANYWHERE, WHERE WOULD IT BE AND WHY?
We’d both LOVE to go back to the French Riviera! Our last trip there was just so memorable, driving through the different charming towns and villages of the Cote d’ Azur! Since it was a fast-paced work and leisure trip, we’d hope that the next time around, we would have more time to really lay on the beach for longer and soak up the Mediterranean sun or really just wander the streets looking for markets and searching every corner for the best pain au chocolat to eat on a beach.
How have you been staying busy and positive during these times?
We realized, we really got to do all the things we’ve been telling ourselves we’d do more of- like cooking and exercising. Over quarantine, we changed our diet, going full-on vegetarian so it was so fun to get creative in the kitchen with food and different ingredients. We spent more time with our family (including our dog, Bo), and worked out more by joining online yoga and spin classes! (Oh and we started our Instagram account together to initially share our quarantine highlights)
What are some activities you like to do? Can you share with us your New Normal Adventures?
We are water babies and living in Cebu during these times has been such a privilege once our situation got better. When places started to open up again, we tried to pick up new socially distant hobbies in the ocean like freediving and one that doesn’t involve the ocean but equally as fun, tennis! So really our wardrobe these days revolves around pajamas, athleisure and bathing suits when we are working from home.
What's been your most memorable adventure? Share one of your happy places!
If you could go back to anywhere, where would you go and what would you do?
Peru, no doubt an adventure (even with the bad jet lag and altitude sickness)! Machu Picchu is a magical, happy place for us because for so long we dreamt of visiting this wonder of the world together and it finally became a reality. Traveling Peru by bus was the best way to discover the hidden gems and natural landscapes from salt mine terraces, rainbow mountains, volcanoes, ancient ruins, and coastal town national reserves! It just felt like a complete experience especially when we ate and drank our way through local cuisine; we’d definitely go back just to eat their ceviche and drink their Pisco sours!
We can’t wait to get you ready for your NEXT adventures! What are you most looking forward to on your next Wink visit?
Lou: So, I have been personally victimized by the maskne over quarantine so I’m really looking forward to the Laser Facial treatment to help my acne scars!
Dawn: And although thankfully the face mask doesn’t give me the same effect, I’d rather be preventative and feel that much more confident in glowy skin when doing all our makeup-free activities after Laser Facial!
